Blog Instructions

To track the construction of our Family Life Center, we've set up a blog at http://kgshiloh.blogspot.com. A blog (short for "web log") is a web site where members of the Building and Publicity Committees can regularly post photographs and updates on the new building. Anyone can explore the blog and even post comments and questions. Listed below are some pointers to help you make the most out of the Shiloh's blog:

  • Stories will usually include one or more photographs. Click on the image thumbnail to see the full-sized photo.
  • Over time, older stories will automatically be archived. To access older stories, simply click on the months listed under "Archives" in the right-hand column. [Show me]
  • If you have a comment or question on a story, we invite you to post a comment. Just click on the "comments" link at the end of the story. You'll get a popup screen. [Show me] Type your comment or question in the large box. As far as identifying yourself, you'll have three options:
    • Blogger Identity - If you already have a Blogger.com account, you may use it to identify your post.
    • Other - If you chose this option, you can simply type in your name.
    • Anonymous - If you'd rather remain anonymous, choose this option.

Before you can submit your comment, you'll need to type in a verification code that exactly matches a randomly generated series of letters. (This is simply a security feature that prevents spamming software from posting ads to our blog.) In the example, you'd type "fkfeief" in the Word Verification box. This letter combination will change for each post. Once you've done that, press the "Publish Your Comment" button.

For more information on blogging, see Blogger.com's "What's a Blog?" overview.
