Worship is a time for communication with Christ. Every effort is made to make Sunday morning worship relevant for both the person who has known Christ for a long time and the one who is getting to know Him for the first time. To meet this challenge, a variety of music is used, but the lyrics always speak of Christ and Biblical truth.
The Music Ministry offers several opportunities for you to use your musical gifts to honor Christ, including the adult choir, children's choir, praise band, sign language choir and smaller ensembles that participate in the Sunday morning worship service. Additionally, these groups participate in several special events throughout the year, including Easter and Christmas musicals.
- Sounds of Praise - Our adult choir practices Wednesday evenings and performs every Sunday and at special services throughout the year including Hanging of the Green, Easter Musicals, Christmas Musicals and the Community Songfest.
- Praise Band - Our contemporary group of musicians includes talent on piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, trumpet and other instruments. The group performs at the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service and all other special services.
- Sweet Assurance - This is our women's chorale featuring 1st and 2nd sopranos and altos. They perform approximately every other month during the Sunday worship service.
- Others - We also have a men's quartet and many duet and solo performers.
