"In the Spotlight" was a feature article that appeared generally on the second page of the church newsletter, The Shiloh Visitor. Its purpose was to feature stories about people and events at Shiloh Baptist Church.
Our first attempt at producing this feature article occurred in December 2007. Kerry Childers interviewed Bob Walters, and our headline then was "Let's Get to Know...." By the next month, January 2008, that title evolved into "In the Spotlight," which we generally published most months from January 2008 to April 2026. Altogether, we published 211 articles.
The Shiloh Visitor was conceived, produced, and first published in 1973 by the Reverend Jim Meade, pastor of Shiloh from 1973 to 1985. This comprehensive collection was lovingly compiled by Cindy Miller in 2026.
