Rebecca Goff

Minister of Children
children@kgshiloh.org

Rebecca Goff grew up in small-town Inola, Oklahoma, the “hay capital of the world.” She is the daughter of a police officer. Rebecca’s maternal grandparents were Native American born in the late 1890s. Her mother’s first language was Cherokee. Rebecca married Jayson in 2003. She had worked in the field of animal health—mostly horses, dogs, and cats. She became a regional territory manager for an animal health company and traveled the continental United States doing product training, sales, and merchandising.

In 2008, Rebecca left the professional workforce to stay home with her two daughters. They joined Shiloh in 2012. She assisted Ray Tubbs, Jr., with the Children’s Ministry and filled the gap as Ray transitioned to a pastor position. After many prayers and seeing two children accept Christ during Vacation Bible School, she realized what being a children’s minister was all about and that God would not allow her to do the job if she were not worthy. In her words: “Every time I said ‘I can’t,’ God said ‘Yes, you can’ and opened the door for me to serve as the Minister of Children.”

Stephen_cropped.jpg

Stephen Hagewood

Minister of High School
highschool@kgshiloh.org

Stephen has been involved in the missionary field since he was 8 years old. His parents were career missionaries in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Stephen had to quickly learn Spanish. He spent his childhood and graduated from high school in Santo Domingo. His parents also served in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Stephen witnessed the work of the Lord through his parent’s service.

After graduation, Stephen headed to Carson-Newman College, where his parents went. He said, “Moving back to the U.S. was a horrible time for me and a big part of my personal testimony today. A lot of missionary kids, like military kids who grow up overseas, suffer when coming ‘home’ to the U.S. because it’s really not home, and they never really get to go back ‘home’ like all the other college kids...God pulled me through that time.” He later transferred to Tennessee Technical University and graduated with a double major in computer science. Stephen is the leader of Mars Hill, where youth experience Christian fellowship, perform skits, enjoy live music, listen to motivational speakers, enjoy food, and escape from the secular world.
